On the 20th of June the Long Night of the Sciences Leipzig took place. On this occasion I gave a talk at the German Museum of Books and Writing that looked into the biographies of outstanding personalities who covered new ground and broke through glass ceilings. Which scientists had secure employments? Which qualifications did they emphasize in their applications? What were they payed for? What about female researchers? What do I advise students nowadays — 5 years after the hype concerning the hashtag #IchBinHanna.'
