50 years "International Women's Year"

On 8 March, at the International International Women’s Day, we took a look back at 1975. At this point of the cold war the United Nations celebrated the International Women’s year, and they announced a United Nations Decade for Women addressing women’s rights, discussed the (lack of) opportunities for women around the world, and highlighted their contributions to development and peace.

In our tour we revisited the agenda of the feminist movement and its important activists in Leipzig, who contributed to the constitution of the International Women’s Day.
